Summer Job-Hunting

So you are probably thinking that I’ve lost it by saying that exams can be fun, but in my opinion they can be. I remember last year my friends and I were doing our Junior Cert and I have to admit that it was one of the most enjoyable things I have done with them. It brought us closer together and we had so much fun and craic during it that I really couldn’t believe it. So here is how we survived: Exam free Facebook chat This was a Facebook chat group that we set up before and during the exams. In this chat we talked about what we would do for the summer, what we did last weekend and we organised plans to do during the exams etc.

The main importance of this chat was to put exams and life after exams into perspective and because of that we stressed less because we were excited for SUMMER! The only rules we had was that no one could mention the word Junior Cert or anything else exam related and we always had to be positive. Laughing out loud Laughing is seriously the best cure for anything. You can’t be sad when you’re laughing. It’s scientifically proven. Smiling, even fake smiling makes you happy.

So go forth and laugh your way through your Junior or Leaving Cert. Youtube Videos and Memes Normally this is how we laughed the most by watching funny videos on Youtube. At the time funny cats and epic fails were all the craze. So during the break between exams we always went into the computer room and watched a video or two. We always came out happier and stress-free after.

Memes, as they call themselves are a great stress-buster too, so have a browse through a few memes of Bad Luck Brian or the Socially Awkward Penguin and I’m 100% sure you’ll feel better afterwards. Music Listening to a few tunes before or after an exam is a fantastic way to put your exam worries away for a few minutes. Exercising Exercise is probably the best way to relieve yourself in exam season so grab your bike and go cycling around the town with your friends, play football or basketball, even going for a relaxing walk with your friends is helping you to relax yourself. You are always promised great weather because its exam season so go out and enjoy the weather. You deserve it.

Sleep SLEEP…. I can’t stress enough how important sleep is the night before an exam. What my friends and I did was that every night at ten o clock no-one was allowed on Facebook or Twitter and that we had to be asleep at 11, it was kind of like a curfew but that rule guaranteed us at least 8 hours of sleep which is the perfect amount of time sleeping. I will leave you with a quote “I didn’t say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it”. Adh mhor and good luck with your exams.
