Comment on the SPELIT Power Matrix The SPELIT analysis methodology is presented in three parts:
- Part I discusses theory and the importance to adult learning.
- Part II describes the SPELIT model and each of the SPELIT environments.
- The third part of this book presents examples, formats, selected applications of the SPELIT power matrix, and summary conclusions.
The foundational value of each of the environments of the SPELIT analysis methodology is discussed.
SPELIT is is not not a closed methodology because other environments can be added (religous, education, security, etc) as needed to your specific application.
In addition, the importance of the driving and restraining forces are addressed. This book adds a new tool to your toolbox of organizational analysis instruments. Teachers, organizational consultants, architects, attorneys, students—anyone who needs to put together a learning plan or a strategy—will find this model extremely useful.

SPELIT and Lewin's Driving and Restraining Forces The SPELIT model indeed addresses and supports the concepts of Kurt Lewin. It focuses on how to meet the challenges of resistance to change in an organization and how to unfreeze, change and refreeze a cultural aspect of change in an organization and move forward with the subordinates accepting and feeling a part of this change.

Comment on SPELIT @Chandler Caldwell: Thanks for the comment Chandler. Several faculties use this method in addition to SWOT or PEST. Best of luck. Leo.
