Students and Part Time Jobs
Students should balance their time for their Jobs and School By: Allan Sung High-school is one of the most important 4 years in everyone’s life. Any mistake or success and determine the students future, whether it be going off to university or directly into the workplace. Because due to peer pressure, many teens are tempted to buy the latest trendy clothes, shoes, or phones. However, some parents do not have the money to buy their kids those goods, so many teen apply for part-time jobs so that they can buy those things themselves.
However, research shows that the grades for most students with part-time jobs are dropping drastically, due to the amount of time they spend working, rather than studying. Teens should lower their working time to balance with the time for studying, unless they truly need the money, to pay for things such as their university tuition fees if their parents do not have the money to pay for them.
Education is very important, especially if you want to get into a good university.
In order to achieve the grades, you must put the time and effort into your schoolwork to achieve those grades you want. If teens have their schedule filled with hours of work, they will not have enough time for studying, and it will be impossible to achieve the grades they may want, unless they lower their hours of work. Although some teens may only work 2 hours for only a few days a week, or only work on weekends, there are those that work basically from afterschool until night, 5 days a week.
In grade 12, time is not something you have a lot of.
The amount of homework and assignments is increased and with the added time for work, students will not be able to finish and hand them in on time, which will result to low marks or sometimes even failure. But then again, some people have no choice to work if they truly need it. The best thing for them to succeed is somehow be able to balance both their jobs and the time for their schoolwork.
