Innovative Npo Idea & Business Plan
We have a good number of various types of disabled people in our society. If they are properly trained, they can substantially contribute instead of becoming burden to others.
In developed and developing countries, Government takes the responsibility for training and rehabilitating these people. In Bangladesh, our Government has also taken many measures of this kind but those are not enough. To multiply the effort, like many other countries, there are some organizations established and run by the parents and guardians of disabled people.Autism is a kind of disability usually identified in children at the age between 18 months to 3 years. The affected children suffer from mainly 3 difficulties. These are: Verbal or non verbal communication, Impaired social inter-action and limited activities/interest with rigidity in thinking and repetitive behaviour.
These children may improve and live a close to normal life if appropriate intervention and proper training is imparted in time.Though we have many organizations in Bangladesh working with various fields of disability but there is hardly any quality institute developed exclusively for the autistic children. The problem further aggravated with the unavailability of any training centre to train trainers or teachers to work with autistic children. Similarly, there is no facility available for the training or motivation of parents or caregivers of autistic children. We neither have any centre for caring a child for the whole day nor do we have any residential training facility. The dream of rehabilitation is not yet even thought off.
At this backdrop, we started the ‘Autistic Children Foundation of Bangladesh (ACFB)’. The foundation is purely a non profitable organization, established exclusively for the welfare of the autistic children. The main purpose of choosing this idea is the willingness of do some Philanthrophic activities. MISSION STATEMENT ‘Autistic Children Foundation of Bangladesh (ACFB)’ is a voluntary, non-profit, non-political, non-government and social welfare organization. ACFB believes in unity, discipline and co-operation.
Its founding principle is to be a centre of excellence for children diagnosed with autism and provide a variety of services and develop facilities for individuals with autism all over Bangladesh in order to give them total support to reach their maximum potential and lead independent, productive and secure lives in a structured, safe and caring environment. ACFB aims to improve the quality of life of individuals with autism and their families. Services include diagnosis, assessment, clinical facilities, education, vocational training, package program, adult work and activity program, home rehabilitation program and residential facility.ACFB also aims to provide counseling and training to parents of individuals with autism, set up a resource centre, raise awareness in order to create better understanding of autism throughout the country and lobby to the government in order to establish the rights of individuals with autism. VISION OF THE ORGANIZATION Equal opportunity, empowerment of our children through sustainable development by different training and rehabilitation programme to our children in need.Acquire social rights; develop awareness amongst general people through awareness & advocacy with correct information, proper education, make available required care and services through conduct of proper research.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES OF THE FOUNDATION To assist autistic children to have a normal life through appropriate intervention, training and rehabilitation. of individuals with autism within a structured, happy and caring environment allowing them to grow in confidence and independence, to feel safe and secure and to achieve their maximum potential.Create employment opportunities inside and outside enabling them to participate and integrate in society. The main objectives include • Arrange appropriate intervention and training. (Nationwide network) • Arrange short and long term training for parents and trainers .
• Arrange workshop, seminar, and symposium for sharing knowledge and create social awareness. • Arrange residential training. • Arrange short package training for the parents coming from distant localities. • Establish hospital to work with autistic and other children. • Assist in rehabilitation of autistic adults suitable to their skill.
WHAT THE FOUNDATION INTENTS TO BE Develop as nationwide grassroots autism organization • Training Centre to train trainers, parents, Care givers etc. • Hospital to treat persons affected by ASD. • Residential Training Centre. • Rehabilitation with Art / Culture / Sports / Computer / Bakery / Boutique / Embroidery/ Nursery/ Shop Management etc. CHALLENGES OF THE FOUNDATION • Social awareness.
• Professionals. • Training materials. • Can never reach ‘break even point’. • Developing own infrastructure. LIVING WITH AUTISM In Bangladesh, the general attitude towards autism is mostly negative and it is seen as a social barrier.Even today, autism is considered a God-given curse and children with ASDs are taken as possessed by the Devil.
Also bad parenting is accused: mothers going out to work still get the blame. As such the demands of living with a person with autism are great, and families frequently experience high levels of stress. The uniqueness of each individual with autism makes the experience of living with autism different for each family. There is no alternative but to live with autism for such families; but the concern is how better this living can be made.Recognizing and preparing for the challenges that are in store will make a tremendous difference to all involved, including parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family, and friends. ACFB wants to promote autism awareness in the society and turn it suitable for living for the autistic children.
ACFB also wants to prepare families with some of the basic knowledge and working knowledge they may need to provide what their dear ones need. BUILD A FOUNDATION Foundations are non-profitable organizations that support charitable activities. We can also start a foundation if we have the right motivation and sufficient resources.Starting a foundation is one of the best ways to channelize our philanthropic activities in a professional way. However, the process is not that easy as it sounds, and it involves careful research as well as intricate legal procedures.

The aim of fundraising is to fulfi l the needs of the non-profi t sector with the resources available in other sectors. It is strategic for grant-seekers to view fundraising as a professional and mutually benefi cial activity. While fundraising provides non-profi ts with several types of support, it also provides funders with an investment opportunity.
Donors usually specify which areas they are interested in and what their priorities are for funding, as they cannot give money to every organisation that applies. So it is important to research which donors you should approach, based on the type of your project and the donor’s funding preferences. FUNDRAISING IDEAS Every non-profit organization riles on Local & international funding. Without this funding organization would not able to function effectively. A fundraiser is nothing but an event or a campaign with a primary purpose of raising money for a cause. A fundraiser can be started at a local level or on a large-scale.
Fundraisers can be charitable, non-profit, religious, or non-governmental organizations, although there exist certain types of fundraisers that benefit for-profit companies. Online fundraising An easy way to raise funds is via the Internet. It has a very little start-up cost, and funds can be generated from the world over. One can directly collect funds through donations, sale of wallpapers, online auctions or adopt-a-cause schemes. Celebrity endorsement There is nothing that pulls more crowd than a celebrity.
Team up with a celebrity to raise awareness and funds for your cause. But make sure that the celebrity persona does not clash with the cause. Cultural or Sports Program Organize a cultural or sports program, and involve many Autistic children. While selecting a venue for the event, look for societies that rent out sports facilities or auditoriums at a discounted rate. MARKETING MIX Product The product itself, its quality, its features, the benefits which it brings.
These need to be defined from the customer’s perspective and we need evidence that this is what they really want, not simply what we think they need and ought to have. Our organization introduce services for AUTISTIC children. Now-a-days the number of Autistic children is increasing. To give care the Autistic children, we offer Education and also different types of Academic ;amp; vocational training. Price The price the customer has to ‘pay’. This sometimes seems unnecessary in the nonprofit setting but this is wrong.
We have open pricing on many of our activities -membership fees, charges for some services, priced fundraising products. In addition, many of our products have hidden prices which you need to recognise ;amp; try to reduce. For example, for a newly disabled person, the ‘price’ of leaving the support of their family to go away on a six week residential rehabilitation course may be too high to pay. This ‘price’ can be lowered by providing transport home every weekend. Place The place, that is where you distribute our product to our customers. We are likely to use a wide range of ‘places’ to distribute our activities For example, in fundraising there is direct mail, press and radio adverts, street and house-to-house collections, fundraising dinners, telephoning and face to face.
The school and training centre is build in one place. It is in the middle of the city. This place is very conveineint to all. It is free from crowed and have well transportation system. For services we can deliver them residentially or direct to people homes, using specialist paid staff or trained volunteers, by post or by email, etc.
Promotion The following areas of the marketing communications mix will all booked at to consider the relative strengths and weaknesses and if and how they will be applied in the case of this plan. The promotion of the product is how you let customers know your service is available, for example through advertising or PR.Advertising is one of the most effective ways but is normally costly in the quantities required. But even the smallest non profit can get coverage in the local press. Don’t forget the importance of encouraging word of mouth promotion. It is reckoned that 50 per cent of customer recruitment is through word of mouth.
MARKETING INFORMATION Our business firm must organize and distribute a continuous flow of information to its marketing managers. So we must be developed marketing information systems that provide management with rapid and incredible detail about buyer wants, preferences, and behavior.Marketing managers collect timely and accurate reports on current sales also compliances and recommendations must be collected and organize these information in databases- customer databases, Service databases, and so forth for further analysis. MARKET ANALYSIS There is strong demand for schools and training center of autistic children as the autistic children is increasing day by day. There is no place for Autistic children where they can get care and teaching.
Autistic children needs a place of their on . They are not like other children. So trained personal is need to take care of them.Only sopecialized school and training center can give them best service. TARGET MARKET Be it a profit making or a non profit making organization – identify the target market. Identify the place where we want to work and to which section of society we wish to cater through our organization.
In order to do this, we can research and approach some other non-profit organizations that work in a similar field. The primary target is the AUTISTIC children and other Disable children. the children of urban,Sub-urban and rural area. The organization also facilate street children. There are special care for poor children.

Unfortunately, not everyone who starts a nonprofit has thought out his or her idea. Its not wise to make the mistake of just jumping into the nonprofit arena. We should think hard before starting nonprofit, act later. A nonprofit is simply another version of a business. We need to have at least as much money coming in as going out in order to even survive, much less succeed in our mission. Many nonprofit start-ups are launched on a wing and a prayer rather than a well-thought-out plan.
Nonprofits are heavily regulated, by the government. Regulation is needed to make sure that donors are protected from fraud, and that nonprofits continue to serve the public good. Just because we are “nonprofit” doesn’t mean that we can’t get into some serious trouble. Fundraising is a sophisticated, complex, and competitive endeavor. But it is unavoidable for a nonprofit.
We should not make the mistake of thinking that all we need is a bake sale or a fancy dinner to raise the money we’ll need to properly fund our organization. It cannot be overstated how important our board is to our nonprofit’s success. It is legally responsible for keeping us on track with our mission, helps us to secure the funds we need to accomplish the mission, and provides much of the expertise that we will need. The prime task is to find the right people, get them on board, and keep them interested.
