Little Princes Analysis: Child Trafficking
Little Princes
Child Trafficking Condor Greener was able to show how horrific the issue of child trafficking is through his New York Times Bestseller Little Princes. He demonstrates how the problem affects the children and their families. Condor utilizes his autobiographical account to show how a simple guy from America can change the lives of many people across the world.
Child trafficking is an international problem that more people need to become aware of.
Through his novel, Condor was able to prove how harsh child raffling can be, and also what he does to reconnect the families how they should be. When Condor first arrived to visit the Little Princes home, he saw how many children there were who greeted him excitedly. They were overjoyed to welcome someone new into their home. He could tell that they were accustomed to volunteers being there to help, and he could see their love and happiness with that. The kids instantly found an attachment to Condor, because of how nice he was and also because of all the change he wanted to bring.
Condor showed great generosity for the reason that he knew how much they had gone through and how much pain was associated with their lives at such a young age. The man who went by the name of Kola was one of the main people behind the issue of child trafficking. Nepal was going through many hard times because of the war. Kola had told the parent’s of the little princes that he would rescue them and prepare them with better education. He made it sound to the parent’s that the little children would be emotionally rescued and have a better life.
Greener on page 84 says that “The worst the war got, the more families were willing to pay him to take children from the villages. ” As challenging as it was to send their children off to someone else, they decided it was best for them to grow. Instead of saving the children like he promised, Kola was doing the opposite. The parent’s of the little princes had no way of contacting their babies, and had no idea what Kola was doing.
As time went on, the parent’s of the little princes lost hope of ever reconnecting with their little ones.
If child trafficking was a big conflict in my community, state, or country change would be imminent. I would make sure that the government placed stronger laws to capture those who lead child trafficking. Those individuals would be sentenced to Jail so that any further conflict would not appear. Taking away children with or without a fee should be a crime sentenced life long Jail time. In the country of Nepal, laws were not the same as they are here in the United States.
Napalm’s government system was not as strict, which allowed Kola to get away with his horrific actions.
If child trafficking were to take place in my area, the child trafficker would have to pay for his actions. Little Princes happens to be a great example of how the children involved with how severe child trafficking can be. There were many innocent children who were forced to separate from their parent’s. Families were torn apart and Condor did his best to reconnect them all back together.
Child trafficking is emotionally damaging to the children involved along with their parent’s. No one should suffer being away from the people that they love.
