Single Gender School

Single sex education has attracted greater public attention since published in 2006. Leonard sax founder of single gender schools he had a son going to 2nd grade and on that first day he got a phone call home and his son’s response to this was.

“I was trying to impress a girl” that’s what encouraged him to write a book about that book was called why genders matter it attracted a lot of criticism and attention .But soon enough sax’s book skyrocketed and schoolsall around the world offered boys and girls a classroom to themselves. Single gender schools should be the norm because studies have showed that without the other gender education excels. And without the other gender boys and girlswill not feel the need to be noticed by the other gender because they are not around.No distractions by having the other gender around.Parents think its a good idea for their children to succeed.

My first reason for one gender schools should be normal because the way that they boys act around girls. A Lot of guys try to be funny in front of girls and that’s gets them in trouble and they say “what did i do” they know what they did their just trying to get out of trouble. ) Now i understand if you like someone and you try not to look stupid. That should not change the way you act. My second reason is boys distract girls by trying to get their attention so that gets them off track from their work.I notice this in class with people doing things that they don’t usually do because i know them personally.”Kids behavior changes around the opposite sex” just as a natural thing they can’t control what they do they just do it. My final reason is the way parents think about it “83.

7% of parents said that their daughters grades went up in one gender classes and 78.0% of parents said that their sons grades increased in class with all boys”(tichenor.) Theirs is a low percent that said their child’s grades of both genders decreased so most grades increased as parents and scientists have tested. One gender schools are bad for kids as people say.But they are not critics say that one gender schools will make that gender not prepared for when they do get around them.But this is not true because when they are out of school they can be around any people they want.

And a lot of people say that public schools are good for kids because it gives them a variety of people. But their is a variety that you do not want to be around in school those are the people who don’t care about school and don’t do their homework. The kids who think their going to get money but don’t do the work are not going anywhere. rub off on some kids which you don’t want to happen.This leads me to my conclusion. Single sex schools is the way to go because with all the distraction of having the other gender around and the statistics of what guardians think if this goes to a world debate single sex schools will be the normal school and public will switch spots with it.
