Income sources include planning fees, visitor centre sales, agricultural rentals, a study centre and externally funded projects from European, lottery and local government/local authority sources. With such a wide and complex range of revenue streams, it was decided an upgrade of the finance system was needed. Financial Services Manager, Philip Naylor, headed up a team to oversee the project. The system needed to be user-friendly, have excellent management reporting and data retrieval systems, as well as allow the 50 users on the network to access centrally held information. It also had to handle a high volume of transactions quickly.

“It was important to consult all 50 users within the Authority to make sure their requirements were met. Exchequer’s Enterprise package offers the best combination of function and value for money, backed by key software awards,” said Naylor.”This implementation demonstrates that it’s possible to minimise disruption and still enjoy rich functionality,” sad Rob Steele, sales and marketing director at Exchequer Software.
