Behavior Fairness?

I think an issue in today’s society is the way the boys are seen at school. It seems like the only right way to act is the way that girls act, which isn’t fair because how should a boy be able to act like a girl.

Say you went back 50 years and went to a school. The ways boys act would be considered “boyish behavior”. But now, even acting the same way, the way boys act is “immature, rude, impulsive, and disrespectful”. What happened to “boyish behaviors”? It is a fact that ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) shows up in boys more than girls, which when you think of it is unfair that boys are than treated differently in school. If the behavioral expectations are a disadvantage to the some with a mental disorder, why is it still an expectation? Now I’m not blaming this on school boards or teachers because they may not have thought of it like this, but that doesn’t mean that we should ignore this. But not all boys have ADHD, but all their brains are not as developed as a girl’s brain.

This can lead to boys being impulsive, easily distracted, etc. These effects aren’t much different than symptoms of ADHD, meaning boys overall have a learning disadvantage. If boys are not able to focus, don’t reach “behavior standards”, then how are they supposed to do well in school?
