Watching their vital sign to make sure nothing spikes and the patient doesn’t wake upThe practice of anesthesie is putting people to sleep before they go into their surgery. Being an anesthesiologist takes hard work.

You will first need to find a college that offers a major in anesthesia before you can find a great hospital or company to work for and earn a good salary. Sleeping moneyAnesthesiologist make a lot of money, such as a lot of other doctors. Weekly an anesthesiologist would make about $6,779, but that’s without taxes. Hourly an anesthesiologist would make about $169(Salary.com).

That’s a lot of money, but you would need to work there for a while before you get that much. You have to work to get that much but that is the average amount of money. Sometimes they would even put you on call. That means that you don’t have to be in the hospital, but if they need you they will call you back to the hospital. You would get payed for being there.

Sleeping on the job When being an anesthesiologist you would most work at hospitals. So in Indiana you could work for st. Vincent’s and Riley. You would work with the surgeons. You would see the patient before the surgeon does. You would look at their charge to find out how much they weigh not have already done your calculations.

Then you would put them to sleep either using a mask or just needle. After that you follow the surgeon into the operating room and you watch the vital signs to make sure nothing goes wrong. If the vital signed spike up, that mean that the patient is about to wake up-which would be horrible-you have to move quickly and put them back to sleep before anything really bad happened. Sleeping early helps College is very important for this job. There isn’t a top college in Indiana.

Although there isn’t a top college you could major in, there are some. You could go to the University of California or the university of pennsylvania(Schools.com) . That is the number one college to go to for an anesthesiologist. You would need to go to that college for four years.

For a bachelor’s degree but you can stay in school and get your master’s degree and more. Being an anesthesiologist is hard work and a lot of school. In high school there are some classes that you should focus. You need to focus onalgebra, biology, chemistry, geometry, physics, trigonometry, anatomy and physiology, humanities, health occupations/medical professions education, psychology, and computer skills(“Anesthesiologist”). You have to do four years of college, for a bachelor’s degree.

Then you have to do two years of medical school. Next you have to do two years of training at a hospital. All together you have to do 8 years of college. If you’renot up for that I don’t think that being an anesthesiologist Is for you. Wake up Being an anesthesiologist takes hard work.
