Hero Cycle explanation Sy galeant We all want a good ending for a story, Maybe t’s because our lives are stories and we are empathizing with the characters in the Story We all have adventures, problems end rewards just like the characters. Thus we want Stcry to be realistic. More specifically we want to empathizing with the characters to have a break in our lives.
However making a fictional story and adding realistic components in it wasnt that east so people had to Create a System which applies a normal persons life into a heroes adventure.
They called It Hero cycle’. Following the steps 01 the hero cycle ade making a successful story easier than It was. so lets look at the steps of the hero cycle. Every event needs a tngger to occur. Our first step IS call to the adventure’.
So our hero who is Just an ordinary person In this state has a call. It can either be an actual call like a word cn his monitor or he can be pushed In to the adventure. Once the hero accepts the call he can continue to the next step.
At tupernatural aid’ step our hero gains a pcwer/an aid however doesnt necessanly have to be supernatural/ magical, Most of the times the aid s Simply wisdom However of course there are xamples Which supernatural part ‘5 really intense For example the spider bite in sp. derman or the ring In The Hobbit After these steps our hero still too powerless to continue on his journey so he needs a mentor who Will guide him and prepare mm for the real adventure.
Mentor can be quite variable.
One of the most basic mentors are the aunt of Spiderman and Morpheus in Matrix. At this point car hero is prepared enough to leave the ordinary world and take a step outside to a heros world. Now he is ready to face the trials and cope with the problems of a hero. It oesnt have to be a physical test, It can be something about the heros mentality o.

If that kinds of a problem happens he has to go back and train again for the main event. when he successfully beats has enemy he has a rebirth like *hen Leo daed and literally got back to the lite in Matrix.
After he is resurrected he becomes a truly different person- He has no fears and no worries So basically he IS ready to go back to his life, Hcnuever now he nas the gift of the goddesses which can be a concrete thing or can Just be the relive ot not having troubles which is the best gitt ot the world. Overall this IS the pertect plan to make a successful story. As mentioned earlier we all want character tc empathize so we want mm to be realistic.
