We Should Appreciate The Difference In Every Child

An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a document made by teachers with the input of the parent for student who requires special education services or has a disability. This can cause many kids to be put in a separate special education classroom. A child may get an IEP from how they learn, how they act or if they have any disabilities.

Students in inclusive classrooms without IEPs can help the kids that have IEPs. Inclusive classrooms will let the kids gain more social skills. Even thought kids are different they all deserve the same quality of education. Some students with Individualized Education Plan should be put in a general education classroom. Students in inclusive classrooms without IEPs can help the kids that have IEPs. With inclusive classrooms the students with IEPs will get the help from fellow students that they might not get being in a self-contained classroom.

Students can work with the other students on a daily basis .In the reading The Advantages of Inclusion In the Classroom (http://www.ehow.com/info_7878554_advantages-inclusion-classroom.html) says ” Children without disabilities learn respect for all people and are prepared for the “real world” by understanding diversity”.

Also evidence shows that students come to find out that everyone is equal even if they have IEPs/disabilities. In addition this will also let kids without disabilities understand the real world and how to work with people that are different from them. Having inclusive classrooms would allow students to gain more social skills. For instance this will let the kids that have IEPs talk, and hang out with other kids that are on different levels then they are accustomed to. In the text Pros & Cons of Teaching for Inclusion (http://www.ehow.com/about_5143314_pros-cons-teaching-inclusion.html#ixzz2DMGMVPxj) prints “Without inclusion, students in special education programs or students who have IEPs would be isolated from their peers in specific special education classrooms. Furthermore this proves that inclusive classrooms will keep them from being isolated from the real world. This may let kids gain new friendships and relationships with other kids and teachers. In addition this will motivate the kids with IEPs to participate more in class functions. This will also in courage the kids with IEPs to try harder in class and do their best on test and quizzes.

Even if a student has a disability they should still be able to get an equal education as their peers. In inclusive classes there will be not one but two teachers. With two teachers in the room the time between the teachers and the students will be equally divided. With these resource students will get more support that they need. The benefit of this will be that students get a better education and their grades will increase.

(http://www.washington.edu/doit/Stem/articles?48) it states that “Ensures that children with disabilities be prepared for employment and independent living.” therefore that the students will be ready for the real world. Some people may argue having inclusive classrooms are a bad idea.

One reason is a regular education teacher often doesn’t have the right type of training to help the kids with IEPs. Furthermore this can be difficult for the kids with IEPs to keep up and understand what the teacher is teaching. In the article Early Childhood and the Inclusive Classroom (http://ecinclusiveclassroom.blogspot.com/) it states, “Other children in the class may be unsure of how to engage the child with special needs, So they tend to leave him alone “.

Although some people think we shouldn’t have inclusion classes others understand that students will help them gain more social skills students with and without IEPs can help each other. Kids that have Individualized Education Plan Should be sent to a regular educational classroom. Students in inclusive classrooms without IEPs can help the kids that have IEPs. Inclusive classrooms will let the kids gain more social skills. Even thought kids are different they all disserve the same type of education. In the novle The Right to Education (http://www.
