Global Warming and Risk of Resources War
We are in the era of globalization, in which the impact on anything ultimately leaves a thorough impact over the other thing as well. In today’s world the essence of societies has its own indispensability and pros and corns. Society is the name of accumulation and amalgamation of more than two people regardless with the diversity issue. According to a large amount of officials, the essence of Globalization is at its peak and so the world is tackling with many of the resonant factors, which are causing depression to it. Today, we are in a competitive environment.
The most influential thing, which is on our head, is Earth Global Warming. The basic theme of this paper is to pen down the effect of global warming on the resources of the world. It has also been a consensus that the essence of global warming has created and sometimes enhanced the resource wars between the countries. We have planned to educate our every reader that is why we will first include a brief introduction of the global warming, its consequences and its related issues. After describing the same, we will shift our gears towards the main theme of this paper.
In accumulation to the usual pressure to world peace, a numeral of other undermining factor affect human society: global warming, ecological overshoot, and resource wars. These factors are interactive and often have constructive criticism loops, making the effects inferior than linear extrapolation designate. Tranquility will be supplementary possible be attained if: (1) understanding markedly increases for members of the human species and sympathy grows for the other life forms with which humans share the planet, (2) immediate steps are in use to eradicate the environmental overshoot that intimidate the biosphere life sustain the system upon which endurance of the human species depends, (3) strong, immediate action is taken to reduce anthropogenic greenhouse gases responsible for global warming and other types of climate change (e.g., changes in rainfall patterns, increased storm concentration), (4) humankind finds ways to begin taking measures immediately for drastically diminishing global inequities in resource distribution, (5) humankind stabilizes its population level and reserve expenditure to a sustainable level, and (6) the success of the above actions is judged by a marked diminution in or elimination of resource wars.
Words on Global Warming: Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of Earth’s near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation. Although mainstream science has accepted the evidence of global warming for some time, the present US administration persists in focusing on technological solutions. Still, even if the Kyoto Protocol were implemented, persuasive evidence suggests that its implementation would not be adequate to eliminate the problem. In fact, some scientists believe that an irreversible tipping point may have already been reached for global warming. Britain’s Hadley Center for Climate Prediction and Research, using computer models created by the combined power of more than 95,000 computers in 150 countries, dramatically increased the prediction of future warming. The Center’s Myles Allen stated, “The danger zone is not something we are going to reach in the middle of this century we are in it now.
” As if this forbidding statement were not adequate, a Christian Science Monitor article has noted that India, China, and the United States are planning to build 850 new coal-fired power plants that would generate up to five times the more carbon dioxide than would have been diminished by the Kyoto Protocol. Rejection of mainstream science by two of the world’s most populous countries (India and China) and the world’s principal supplier (United States) of anthropogenic greenhouse gases does not bode well for either peace or the future of humankind. Since the panorama of resource wars and a less inhabitable planet for humanity is so horrendous, one can only continue to espouse the peace and sustainable use of the planet and hope that reason and the evidence of mainstream science will prevail.Risks of Global Warming Mentions below are some of the risks pertain to global warming.Global Warming and Resource War Dilemma:Three chief types of resource wars (e.
g., Klare 2001) interrelate with each other. First are the apparently continuous wars between nations over resources (e.g., oil). The indispensable goals of these resource wars are frequently shrouded by demonizing the disparate group or by using a replacement goal, such as bringing the democratic organization to a region by eradicating a repressive government.
The second type of reserve war is the war with nature, which consists of the devastation of natural habitat that both stressed and eliminate the group dwell in it. The third type of resource war is the act of permanently acquiring resources (e.g., land) used by other life forms.A report on the rampage by the United Nations indicates that the world is witnessing fewer wars (LaFranchi 2005).
The report concludes that global conflict prevention and post-conflict peace building efforts are becoming both more numerous and more effective. On the other hand, anyone paying modest consideration to the divergence in Iraq is well conscious that many leftovers to be done.Major problems exist with formative how long Earth’s overused resources will last: (1) in sequence is often shockingly imprecise (e.g., Connor 2005), (2) estimates of use are not based on exponential growth of either human society or resource use, and (3) changing environmental conditions may reduce the amount available (e.g.
, ENS 2005c, Breshears et al. 2005). The prospect of resource wars would be clearly diminished if (1) humankind lived sustainable on the planet, (2) leaders and citizens paid more attention to scientific evidence, even when it appears to conflict with either political ideology or matters of faith, (3) civilization took safety measures to minimize the impact of episodic events that reduce resource supply and accessibility, and (4) resource wars were so labeled instead of masking their purpose by mislabeling them. Fewer people would be willing to attack, kill, and maim others in order to avoid reduced energy use levels, develop alterative sources of energy (e.g.
, solar and wind), or develop a comprehensive energy policy. Since extreme weather events exacerbated by anthropogenic greenhouse gases are highly probable (Eilpenn 2005b), preventive measures to decrease the likelihood of resource wars are essential. The Essence of Climate Change and WarSome More Global ChallengesPersonal Thoughts and RecommendationsThe hazards of the global warming can be mitigating substantially but to accomplish the same almost every country has to take some brave step under their regimes. I have accumulated some points that if considered than it would be a very good chance that we can save from the hazards of this monster.I am quite sure that, if above mentioned provisions will take into consideration, then we have a cent percent chance to overcome on the global warming issue pertinently.
