Was ist die STEP-Analyse?

Die STEP-Analyse ist ein Rahmenwerk, das Strategieberater benutzen, um die externe Makroumgebung zu untersuchen, in der ein Unternehmen tätig ist. PEST ist ein Akronym für die folgenden Faktoren:

• Political (Politisch)

• Economic (Ökonomisch)

• Social (Sozial)

• Technological (Technologisch)

PEST Faktoren spielen eine wichtige Rolle in den Wertschaffungsmöglichkeiten einer Strategie. Jedoch sind sie normalerweise außerhalb der Kontrolle des Unternehmens und müssen entweder als Drohungen oder Möglichkeiten betrachtet werden. Bedenken Sie, dass sich makroökonomische Faktoren pro Kontinent, Land oder sogar Region unterscheiden können, so dass normalerweise eine STEP-Analyse pro Land durchgeführt werden sollte.

Ein STEP-Analyse durchzuführen ist verhältnismäßig einfach und kann durch Seminare mit Brainstormingtechniken getan werden. Gebrauch der STEP-Analyse kann variieren von: Unternehmens- und Strategieplanung, Marketingplanung, Unternehmens- und Produktentwicklung und Forschungsreports.

Varianten der STEP-Analyse

Manchmal werden erweiterte Formen verwendet, wie SLEPT Analyse (plus Juristisch) oder STEEPLE Analyse: Soziale/demographische, technologische, ökonomische, ökologische (natürliche), politische, juristische und ethische Faktoren. Auch geographische Faktoren können bedeutend sein.
