Che cosa è l'Analisi PEST?

L'analisi PEST è una struttura che i consulenti in materia di strategia usano per esplorare il macro ambiente esterno in cui un'azienda opera. PEST è un acronimo per i seguenti fattori:

• Politico

• Economico

• Sociale

• Tecnologico

I fattori PEST svolgono un ruolo importante nelle opportunità di creazione di valore di una strategia. Tuttavia di solito sono fuori dal controllo della società e devono essere considerati normalmente come minacce o opportunità. Ricordare che i fattori macro economici possono differire per continente, paese o persino regione, quindi un'analisi PEST dovrebbe essere fatta normalmente per ogni paese.

Nella tabella sotto trovate esempi di ciascuno di questi fattori.

Completare un'Analisi PEST è relativamente semplice e può essere fatto nei workshop usando le tecniche del brainstorming. L'uso delle analisi PEST può variare da: progettazione aziendale e strategica, pianificazione di marketing, sviluppo del prodotto e del business e report di ricerca.

Varianti della Analisi PEST

A volte vengono usate forme estese, quali le Analisi SLEPT (più Legale) o le Analisi STEEPLE: Fattori Sociali/Demografici, Tecnologici, Economici, Ambientali (naturale), Politici, Legali ed Etici. Anche i fattori geografici possono essere significativi.
