PlayStation 4 is better than Xbox One
PlayStation 4 is better than Xbox One In 2013 the world was given a new generation of gaming consoles. The top two runners were the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. The PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One both seem to be the same when playing, but there are a lot of other things that aren’t as visible to the eye.
The PlayStation 4 has just passed the six million mark for consoles sold, while the Xbox One is left behind at four million although the exact number is unknown(Brunner). I believe that the PlayStation 4 is better that the Xbox One because it’s cheaper, the internal hardware is better, and the controllers are better. First of all, the PlayStation 4 is cheaper than the Xbox One. In 2013 where both consoles were released, the PlayStation 4 was one hundred dollars cheaper than the Xbox One(Franklin, Katzmaier, and Franklin). Yes, most people don’t care for the price, but some people can’t afford another hundred dollars to for the Xbox One. This is one way the PlayStation is more affordable.
Another reason why the PlayStation 4 is more affordable is because both consoles have to pay to play online with others users. The PlayStation’s PlayStation plus is fifty dollars yearly, while the Xbox One’s Xbox live gold is sixty dollars yearly(Franklin, Katzmaier, and Franklin). Yes, the ten dollar difference isn’t huge, but it could add up with other things you buy. Now, let’s talk about the internal hardware. Next, let’s talk internal hardware.
“According to an exhaustive analysis, by digital foundry, the biggest difference between the two systems’ hardware is the type of RAM each uses. The PlayStation 4 uses 8GB GDDR5, while signs point to Xbox One using 8GB DDR3 RAM(Franklin, Katzmaier, and Franklin).” The fact proves that the graphics are better, although it’s not a huge difference, but it’s still something you can see. The 8GB GDDR5 RAM hardware that the PlayStation 4 uses, is a hardware most computers use(Franklin, Katzmaier, and Franklin). This means that the PlayStation 4s hardware gets a lot of details that you may see in most computers.
The PlayStation 4 also has a better native resolution which are graphics. They also have a faster GPU which is the speed(Franklin, Katzmaier, and Franklin). I understand that these statistics may not make a huge difference, but it still makes the console better. Last, let’s talk about the controllers. Next, let’s talk about controllers. The DualShock 4 {PlayStation 4’s controller} has two handles that are easily grabbable with the extra grip they have.
While the Xbox Ones controller would slip because of your sweat(Franklin, Katzmaier, and Franklin). This could lead to controllers breaking and more money that needs to be spent for a new one. Another thing is that the DualShock 4 has a built in speaker(Franklin, Katzmaier, and Franklin). This means that you can have the sound of your television come out of your controller or headset attached to your controller. The DualShock 4 has a share button that allows users to record or stream live gameplay just by clicking a button(Franklin, Katzmaier, and Franklin). This means that users can record gameplays and post it to sites like Youtube. Now, let’s talk about how the Xbox One is better. Last, let’s check out how the Xbox One is better than the PlayStation 4. The Xbox One allows users to watch live television if you connect the cable wire to the Xbox One. This means that they don’t have to change the input(“Xbox One vs. PlayStation 4: Top Game Consoles Duke It Out”).
All this does is it just allows them to be lazier. Another thing that the Xbox One has is the Kinect. The Kinect is always on, and it listen to commands for it to do, if you say a command it is capable of doing, it will do it(“Xbox One vs. PlayStation 4: Top Game Consoles Duke It Out”). The Kinect may be better but, the PlayStation can have a mic plugged into the controller and it can do the same just that it’s not always on.
The last thing is that the Xbox One has just released the Xbox 360 backwards combat ability. This means you can play old Xbox 360 games on the new Xbox One(Xbox One vs. PlayStation 4: Top Game …
). But, if you have an Xbox 360 game, you most likely also have an Xbox 360, so then why not just play on that console, like PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Now, it’s time to wrap this up.
